Experts are using picture fuzzy sets (PFSs) in their probes to resolve the uncertain and vague information during the process of decision making because PFSs describe human attitudes naturally. Divergence measure (DM) plays a dominant role in discriminating between two distributions of probability and extracting consequences from that discrimination. In the present work, a novel picture fuzzy divergence measure (PF-DM) is developed between two PFSs. Some of the suggested measure’s important qualities are also discussed with particular situations to validate it. Based on the suggested PF-DM, a multiple-criteria decision-making (MCDM) model is established to grab the fuzzy information. The suggested measure’s performance is compared to that of various existing measures in the literature. An MCDM model has been proven for the usefulness of the suggested technique in dealing with real-life scenarios in the context of dengue sickness and pattern identification. Validation of the suggested MCDM model has been further investigated using validity testing. To improve the generated model, a thorough comparison with several current methodologies has been carried out while taking the time complexity (TC) factor into account.

A picture fuzzy set is a more powerful tool to deal with uncertainties in the given information as compared to fuzzy set and intuitionistic fuzzy set and has energetic applications in decision-making. The aim of this study is to develop a new possibility measure for ranking picture fuzzy numbers and then some of its basic properties are proved. The proposed method provides the same ranking order as the score function in the literature. Moreover, the new possibility measure can provide additional information for the relative comparison of the picture fuzzy numbers. A picture fuzzy multi attribute decision-making problem is solved based on the possibility matrix generated by the proposed method after being aggregated using picture fuzzy Einstein weighted averaging aggregation operator. To verify the importance of the proposed method, an picture fuzzy multi attribute decisionmaking strategy is presented along with an application for selecting suitable alternative. The superiority of the proposed method and limitations of the existing methods are discussed with the help of a comparative study. Finally, a numerical example and comparative analysis are provided to illustrate the practicality and feasibility of the proposed method.

Because of its influence on various elements of human life experiences and conditions, the building industry is a significant business. In the recent past, environmental considerations have been incorporated in the design and planning stages of building supply chains. The process of evaluating and selecting suppliers is one of the most important issues in supply chain management. A multicriteria decision-making (MCDM) problem can be utilized to handle such issues. The goal of this research is to present a new and efficient technique for selecting suppliers with ambiguous data. The suggested methodology’s structure is based on technology for order of preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS), with Fermatean fuzzy sets ( F r FSs) employed to cope with information uncertainty. In this article, authors modified the distance between F r FSs to propose the similarity measure and implemented it to form the MCDM model to resolve the vague and uncertain data. Moreover, we used this similarity measure to choose the optimal alternative. A practical example for alternative selection is provided, along with a comparison of the acquired findings to existing approach. Finally, to strengthen the outcome obtained through the proposed model, sensitivity analysis and time complexity analysis are performed.
