Multiple drugs interactionHearing loss, dizziness and tinnitus: 30 case reports A study described 30 patients (9 men and 21 women) aged 51-89 years, who developed hearing loss, dizziness or tinnitus following the concomitant administration of various improper combinations of drugs [dosages, routes and durations of treatments to reactions onsets not stated].Out of the 30 patients, 11 patients developed dizziness following concomitant administration of diclofenac, omeprazole and ginkgo biloba (1 patient), naproxen, omeprazole and propafenone (1 patient), mirtazapine, ticlopidine and amiodarone (1 patient), doxepin, celecoxib and omeprazole (1 patient), sertraline, memantine and omeprazole (1 patient), amlodipine, buprenorphine and ginkgo biloba (1 patient), atorvastatin, amiodarone and terbinafine (1 patient), atorvastatin, trazodone and silybum-marianum [milk thistle] (1 patient), simvastatin, haloperidol and ginkgo biloba (1 patient), atorvastatin, ivabradine and diltiazem (1 patient), doxepin, ticlopidine and metoprolol (1 patient), 17 patients developed tinnitus following concomitant administration of etoricoxib, ginkgo biloba and atorvastatin (1 patient), tramadol, ginkgo biloba and diphenhydramine (1 patient), tramadol, metoprolol and diphenhydramine (1 patient), tramadol, quetiapine and propafenone (1 patient), sertraline, ginkgo biloba and omeprazole (1 patient), duloxetine, omeprazole and propafenone (1 patient), amlodipine, ginkgo biloba and trazodone (1 patient), amlodipine, inkgo biloba and terbinafine (1 patient), irbesartan, omeprazole and lorazepam (1 patient), vortioxetine, amiodarone and propafenone (1 patient), doxazosin and amiodarone (1 patient), doxazosin, atorvastatin and diphenhydramine (1 patient), escitalopram, ginkgo biloba, omeprazole and quetiapine (1 patient), acemetacin, ginkgo biloba and omeprazole (1 patient), diclofenac, ginkgo biloba and omeprazole (1 patient), diclofenac, omeprazole and buprenorphine (1 patient), sertraline, omeprazole and clopidogrel (1 patient), and the remaining two patients developed hearing loss following concomitant administration of clarithromycin, carvedilol and atorvastatin (1 patient) or clarithromycin [Klarytromycyna], tamoxifen [tamoksifen] and atorvastatin [atorwastatyna](1 patient).After modification of the combination of drugs, the symptoms improved in 25 patients and resolved in 2 patients [not all outcomes stated].
