Multiple Information Communication in Voice-Based Interaction

Abstract: Ubiquitous Computing has enabled users to perform their computer activities anytime, anyplace, anywhere while performing other routine activities. Voice-based interaction often plays a significant role to make this possible. Presently, in voice-based interaction system communicates information to the user sequentially whereas users are capable of noticing, listening and comprehending multiple voices simultaneously. Therefore, providing information sequentially to the users may not be an ideal approach. There i… Show more

“…NUI design promises an intuitive interaction that is easy to learn. Monitoring of users can be found in recent concepts, namely, eye, head and body tracking [ 10 ], recognition and identification of facial expressions [ 11 ] and poses [ 12 ], gesture-based interaction on multi-touch devices [ 13 ] and in particular mobile devices [ 14 ], as well as voice-based interaction [ 15 ]. Therefore, it is likely to further differentiate the concept of NUI into the characteristic of Vision User Interface (VUI), Touch User Interface (TUI) and Audio User Interface (AUI) [ 16 ].…”

“…As interfaces baseadas no design de NUI apontam uma interação intuitiva e de fácil aprendizado. Para tanto, existem diferentes formas de monitoramento do usuário que permitem uma interação natural com o sistema, como rastreamento de gestos em dispositivos multitoque [Palomares et al 2014], rastreamento de poses [Lun andZhao 2015], reconhecimento de voz [ul Fazal andKarim 2017], entre outros.…”
