Multiple intestinal malignancies and prolonged survival in a young woman

Abstract: An unusual case of long srrruiual after multiple primary gastrointestinal malignancies is reported. A 30-yearold woman developed a carcinoma of the cardiac region oj her stomach with local extension to the oesophagus; 11 years following limited resection she is alive and well. During the infervening period she developed three separate predominantly poorly differentiated cancers of the colon and anorher in the rectum.
