“…Zu den weiteren Anzeichen einer hämatogenen Streuung zählen grippeähnliche Symptome wie Müdigkeit, Kopfschmerzen, Arthralgien, Myalgien und Fieber sowie eine Lymphadenopathie, die sowohl primäre als auch sekundäre EM‐Läsionen flankieren kann. Bei Patienten in Europa treten allerdings im Vergleich zu den US‐amerikanischen Patienten seltener systemische Symptome auf, da B. afzelii , der Hauptstamm der europäischen Borreliose, eine geringere Virulenz aufweist [34, 36].
