Abstract:Rubber-toughened thermoplastic polymers such as PC/ABS blends exhibit a pronounced plastic dilatancy in their overall deformation behavior which results primarily from damage mechanisms in the ABS phase while PC behaves plastically incompressible, e.g. [1].
