Municipal Watershed Management Survey

Abstract: Based on survey data, this report provides a general • summary of the nature and extent of (and uses, manage ment problems, and informational needs for municipal watersheds in the southeastern US. Emphasis is placed on small and heavily forested watersheds and related forestry activities.Based on projections made in 1965, municipal water with drawal is expected to more than double by the year 2000 in the South Atlantic-Gulf, Tennessee, and Lower Mississippi Re gions.1 Population increases will contribute to th… Show more
