Referring to my paper [2] and I appreciated their critical view about the pathophysiology of different types of sarcopenia.The authors clearly showed that the attempts to correlate muscle performance with pathophysiologic data in aged subjects and in cancer patients often collide with opposite or controversial biologic findings.It is worldwide accepted that muscle fibres are distinguished in:(1) type I (slow-twitch oxidative) characterized
