“…About 50 years ago [5], Pólya and Szegö established various isoperimetric inequalities for the fundamental wavenumber of a membrane with fixed boundary, based on a variational definition using symmetrization and similar level lines. Mathematically, the equation is the same as that for the TM modes in hollow metallic waveguides, i.e., the Dirichlet problem of the two-dimensional scalar Helmholz equation.…”

“…An important aspect to be studied is the influence of the radiated material in the modification of the radiated fields and the antenna impedance [5,6]. The determination of the radiated fields in the presence of different dielectric means is important because this will be the main factor in obtaining the antenna feeding.…”

“…Obtaining the total near field requires numerical vector sums that take into account the current distribution in the printed antennas, which are obtained using the cavity model [2,3]. In achieving this sum we made use of the superposition theorem, the non-instantaneous action-reaction principle [4], and the influence of the coupled field [5] that modified the input impedance and the irradiator initial feeding, but not its radiation pattern.…”

“…In paper [4] , Jedlick and Poe have come out of some testing datum of the scattering factor between two units with different distances, and done much theoretical analysis based on the datum. In paper [5]- [6] , cavum model and reaction theory were used to deduce the formulation of calculating the mutual coupling between two micro-strip units. In paper [7] , reaction theory and the model of transmission line were utilized to gain the mutual admittance between two micro-strips.…”
A novel 1 4 planar UWB antenna array is proposed. The utilized single element is a compact planar circular slot micro-strip antenna. The feeding network is 1 to 4 Wilkinson power divider. The bandwidth of the antenna array is from 3.1GHz to 12.4GHz and the radiation pattern is bidirectional.
“…The inter-element distance in the linear array (dx) must be integer multiples of the hologram sampling period. The cavity method (Penard andDaniel 1982, Jedlicka et al 1981) is used to calculate mutual coupling by the equivalance theorem. In this model, the following are assumed.…”

A dynamic technique for establishing a three dimensional (3D) mouse is possible by combining holography with a microstrip antenna in order to enter 3D data into a computer. The idea depends on two techniques, the first generates a point source hologram from a dipole antenna. Secondly a receiving microstrip antenna will be attached to operator's hand. A practical system for this purpose is constructed and performances are evaluated theoretically and tested experimentally. Scanning time is improved by replacing the antenna element with an array to achieve reasonable or real time results in editing 3D images. A simulation model is developed to create similar holograms. Experimental and simulation results give excellent agreement.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
