MWCNT/Nileblue Heterostructured Composite Electrode for Flavanone Naringenin Quantification in Fruit Juices

Abstract: Naringenin (NR) displays strong antioxidant and numerous pharmacological activities, mitigating severity of metabolic‐syndromes without undesirable side‐effects. With the upsurge of interest in administering NR as diet‐supplement antioxidant, in this work for the first time we implemented functionalized‐MWCNT/Nileblue‐composite on carbon paste electrode (fMWNCT/NB/MCPE), as electrochemical sensor for catalytic NR oxidation. Integrated properties of fMWCNT/NB and their consonance with CPE, led to lowering of Rc… Show more

“…Recently, electrochemically detection was widely used in analytical chemistry for the detection of micro‐level composite material. The main advantage of this method is that a large amount of quantitative information is extracted from a few trials [55] . Therefore; we consider this method as effectively used for the determination of azo dyes in water contamination.…”

“…During the electrochemical deposition, Cd 2 + ions in the solution are further codeposited on the composite membrane electrode surface due to the formation of Bi film. The two effects synergistically increase the enrichment of Cd 2 + ions on the membrane electrode surface, result in an increase of Cd 2 + ions stripping current and finally improve the analysis sensitivity, which lays a foundation for the development of Cd 2 + sensor with high sensitivity [49]. Figure 8 represents the SWASVs of p-Tyr/Bi/GC composite electrode's response to different concentrations of Cd 2 + ions under the optimum conditions and its linear relationship (Inset).…”

“…Sensors are the product of the mutual penetration and multiple disciplines [1]. Because of high sensitivity and fast analysis speed, sensors are developing rapidly in detecting physiological problems related to human health [2][3][4][5]. Dopamine (DA) and uric acid (UA) have been known to play a vital role in human metabolic functions and behaviour [6].…”
