Mycotic Aneurysm of the Circle of Willis

Abstract: In the Gulstonian Lectures of 1885, Sir William Osler 1 stated, "The meningeal complication of endocarditis has not received much attention." Osler's remark is as revealing today as it was then.We shall review a case of subacute bacterial endocarditis in which a mycotic aneurysm of the right middle cerebral artery was discovered at autopsy.
