Myocardial Infarction in Young Adults: Diagnosis Begins Through Inspection
Zeynep Kumral
Abstract:Spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD) is an atypical cause of myocardial infarction, predominantly seen in women. Among various predisposing factors, genetic vasculopathies such as connective tissue diseases significantly contribute to SCAD. This report discusses a 36-year-old male diagnosed with vascular type Ehlers-Danlos syndrome following an anterior myocardial infarction and explores relevant literature.
