Myofibroblasts Alter Tension and Strain of Cardiac Fiber: A Computational Study

Abstract: In heart pathological conditions, fibroblasts proliferate and differentiate into myofibroblasts (Mfbs). This study aimed to investigate the role of Mfbs on the mechanical contraction of cardiac fiber.
