“…In the last 40 years, there have been few laboratory measurements of the broadening [1][2][3][4][5][6] and shifting 3,6 of the first overtone, P and R branch lines of pure CO or perturbed by N 2 . Plyler and Thibault 7 have summarized the very early measurements of self-broadening.…”

“…Recently, the first analysis of the nitrogen broadening of 13 C 16 O lines in the (2 4 0) band using a Fourier Transform Spectrometer were carried out by Voigt et al (14). The broadening coefficients given in this work are on average 6% smaller than those given for 12 (5,6,9,11) can be stated.…”

“…In all the experiments only small deviations between measured and predicted Voigt profiles were observed. If pronounced discrepancies occurred, more complex line profiles, which include the Dicke effect (low pressure region) and the speed dependence effect (high pressure, heavier buffer gases) would have to be taken into account (29,30 the case of collisions between CO and N 2 Voigt et al (14) estimated that the deviations between Voigt and Galatry profiles would be less than 2% in the line center. In the pressure range under study with the resolution and signal-to-noise ratio we have, the Voigt profile seems to be a good approximation for carbon monoxide lines.…”

“…The data on CO linebroadening and shifting coefficients are included in the spectroscopic database HITRAN. Numerous studies were made for the line shape parameters of CO in mixtures with various atmospheric gases (see Refs [200][201][202][203][204][205][206][207][208][209][210][211][212][213][214][215][216][217]. The fundamental band line shapes of CO-N 2 were experimentally studied in Refs [200][201][202].…”

“…Profile T The 2-0 band of CO-N 2 was studied in Refs [203,204]. Predoi-Cross et al [204] obtained line-broadening, line-shifting and asymmetry coefficients Y m .…”
