Abstract:Atorvastatin calcium is an anti-hyperlipidemic drug that competitively inhibit HMG-CoA reductase and decrease production of cholesterol in liver. This statin derivative is highly metabolized in gut wall and liver so that it produces only 14% oral bioavailability.
