Abstract:Transition metal–cyanide clusters, in which the cyanide anion acts as a bridging ligand, exhibit a rich variety of shapes and sizes, from simple squares to high‐nuclearity cubes and octahedra. Clusters may be homometallic or heterometallic, and a significant fraction of the transition metals are represented among these materials. Magnetic coupling in these clusters is widespread owing to the proximity of the metals and short length of the bridging cyanide. This review examines the structures and magnetic prope… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
