“…In supercritical conditions, the physical properties of fluids including CO 2 can be tuned by the changing the environment temperature and/or pressure. They are such as the solvating power that was affected by the density and the occurring quick mass transfer in supercritical fluids due to the high diffusivity, low viscosity, and low surface tension. Consequently, as presented in Figures and , the difference in amounts of particle products and their curcumin contents without and with PVP addition was found when the SCCO 2 antisolvent was carried out at a constant temperature and at various operating pressures from 8 to 16 MPa. The SCCO 2 density may increase with increasing operating pressure at a constant temperature.…”

“…SCF is defined as any fluid that occurs at conditions above its critical temperature and pressure (T c and P c ) with macro-homogeneous and micro-heterogeneous domains, which exhibits unique properties including the viscosity and diffusivity intermediate between liquid and gas, the density of the order of liquid, and the near zero surface tension. [38,39] Table 2 summarizes the characteristic properties of SCFs compared to those of liquids and gas conditions, suggesting the possibility of properties adjustment by tuning temperature and pressure. [40] Table 3 outlines several commercialized SCFs and their physicochemical properties.…”

“…Impregnation with supercritical carbon dioxide (scCO 2 ) is an effective approach for the uniform decoration and impregnation of porous materials. ScCO 2 -assisted immobilization of metal NPs on porous materials results in high catalytic activity. Furthermore, scCO 2 -based emerging technology allows us to obtain unique and varied morphologies, such as dispersed species, films, and high-surface-area NPs. The morphology of the products could be improved by varying the operating temperature, pressure, contact time, and CO 2 volume rate. , ScCO 2 can surpass the diffusivity and mass transfer limitations of conventional solvents and load sufficient amounts of target materials, such as metal precursors, into the pores and MOF surfaces . Currently, drying with scCO 2 is used to improve the pore stabilities of the MOFs. Recently, immobilization techniques using catalytically active bimetallic NPs assisted by scCO 2 have been considered for the preparation of porous carbon and silica materials. …”
