“…Table 4 compares the global sorption properties of different sorbents for As(V) (i.e., optimum pH, equilibrium time, and the Langmuir parameters for sorption isotherms). Some sorbents, such as functionalized resins (Chen et al, 2018;Lee et al, 2017;Zhang et al, 2018) or nanostructured materials (Azzam et al, 2017;Hokkanen et al, 2015) exhibit remarkable sorption properties (q m,L : 2.46-5.75 mmol As g −1 ). “…In the merits of this complicated core–shell structure, the NiO sphere offered superior control of the diffusion of AsO 4 3− /AsO 4 3− species and selective trapping and oxidation of As(III)‐to‐As(V) species in water. Considering the advantages of large surface area and porous structure of MOFs, which is in accordance with the excellent adsorption activity, Azzam et al fabricated a mesoporous nanospherical necklaces (NSN), in which iron precursor was chelated with ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA). The NSN showed a pretty high percentage of trapped As(V) and Cr(VI) species (as shown in Figure a) despite the low dose of solid NSN.…”
