“…STS is also having a surge of futures imaginations, with the popularization of the concept of socio-technical imaginaries (Jasanoff and Kim, 2015; Sismondo, 2020), that build on the long traditions of sociology of expectation (Brown and Michael, 2003; Borup et al, 2006) and sociologies of the future (Selin 2008; Tutton, 2017).
