Narrow-bandwidth, extreme ultraviolet, spontaneous light-imaging technique for laser-driven magnetic reconnection studies

Abstract: Laser-driven magnetic reconnection (LDMR) is an important research topic in the field of high-energy-density physics, such as laboratory astrophysics. In this study, the narrow bandwidth spontaneous light imaging (SLI) technique at the extreme ultraviolet (EUV) band is introduced to detect magnetic reconnection and the jets produced by LDMR. The EUV-based SLI technique will provide reference values for the verification of the results obtained with traditional methods.
