“…In relation to pH changes, in a range of 1.0–9.0, although its activity may be affected, it was not highly reduced. The present work shows important information of technological functions of compounds from jaboticaba by-products, showing up to be an emerging source of antimicrobial agent with high potential applications in food formulations, collaborating with recent studies of this promising fruit as ingredient to supplement or create novel products (Oliveira et al , 2020; Fidelis et al , 2020; Benvenutti et al , 2021).…”

“…In these contexts, efforts have been performed to control S. aureus growth and biofilm formation using natural compounds (Borges et al , 2013; Hackle et al , 2016; Oliveira et al , 2018, 2020; Sun et al , 2018; Fidelis et al , 2020). Information of jaboticaba peel extract as an antimicrobial, characterizing the extract, its mode of action and its technological limitations are limited in current literature.…”

“…The sponge scaffold of MOPs had better scavenging ability of DPPH and NO, MOPs could prevent wound suppuration by inhibiting the growth of Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli ( Parwani et al, 2016 , Rubio-Elizalde et al, 2019 ). In addition, Oliveira et al, ( de Oliveira, de Abreu Filho, de Jesus Bassetti, Bergamasco, & Gomes, 2020 ) evaluated the antibacterial activity of M. oleifera Lam leaves polysaccharide (WMOL) on Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25,923 isolated from milk. The results showed that WMOL (125–1000 μg/mL) had a significant inhibitory effect on ATCC2592 by destroying the mature biofilm.…”
