Abstract:The prevalence of lung disease caused by Mycobacterium abscessus is increasing among patients with cystic fibrosis. M. abscessus is a multidrug resistant opportunistic pathogen that is notoriously difficult to treat due to a lack of efficacious therapeutic regimens.
