Near real-time detecting of wildfire using MODIS and NOAA/AVHRR data

Abstract: Forest fire in recent years has given much attention to climate change and ecosystem. Detection of fire in Near real time is necessary to prevent large-scale casualties. Remote sensing is a quick and inexpensive way to detect and monitor forest fires on a large scale.
