Abstract:Nectrotizing enterocilitis(NEC), a disease predominant in the premature formula fed infants, is a major cause of morbidity and mortality in NICU survivors. The symptoms may vary from apnea, fever, lethargy to abdominal distension, bloody stools, poor feeding and vomiting.
