Necrotizing fasciitis: are tagged-WBC scans underutilized?

Abstract: Necrotizing fasciitis is a rapidly progressing infection of the fascia deep to the skin and superficial to the muscles. This disease is associated with significant morbidity and mortality thus requiring prompt recognition and diagnosis.
