Necrotizing pancreatitis from hypertriglyceridemia: More severe disease?

Abstract: were male (n=14). Average patient BMI was 28.7. Mean anesthesia preparation time was 82 minutes. Return of bowel function was a mean of 3.5 days post-operatively and urinary catheter removal was 1.8 days. Median hospital length of stay was 6.5 days. Seven patients were readmitted within 30 days of surgery (24%) and there were no deaths.
