Abstract: In Saccharomyces cerevisiae, the transcriptional repressor Nrg1 (Negative Regulator of Glucose-repressed genes) and the β-Zip transcription factor Rtg3 (ReTroGrade regulation) mediate glucose repression and signalling from the mitochondria to the nucleus, respectively.
