Abstract: ABO and Rh incompatibility are the leading causes of hemolytic disease of the fetus and newborn (HFDN). Due to the high antigenicity of the D antigen, hemolysis and symptoms progress rapidly. However, minor blood group incompatibility manifests varying clinical symptoms, from asymptomatic cases to neonatal jaundice and fetal hydrops.
