Neosphincters in the management of faecal incontinence

Abstract: Neoanal sphincter operations are technically demanding, require a considerable learning experience and should be confined to specialist colorectal centres. Patients are likely to benefit from a plan that incorporates preoperative counselling and a selective approach.
