Neuroendocrine rectal tumour as a rare aetiology of adult recto-sigmoidal intussusception: case presentation and literature review

Abstract: Intestinal intussusception is a frequent paediatric pathology, but adult cases are rare and do not have a specific presentation. In most cases adult intestinal intussusception, regardless of its localisation, is caused by an endoluminal tumour, which can be of multiple pathological types.
