Abstract:Pituitary neuroendocrine tumors (PitNET) are neuroendocrine tumors originating from adenohypophyseal cells. Although benign, PitNETs sometimes exhibit aggressive biological behavior that was the inspiration for the change of old and traditional name "pituitary adenomas".
