Abstract: Our previous findings demonstrated that astrocytic HIF‐1α plays a major role in HIV‐1 Tat‐mediated amyloidosis which can lead to Alzheimer's‐like pathology‐a comorbidity of HIV‐Associated Neurocognitive Disorders (HAND).
