Neuroprotective Benefit of Renin-Angiotensin System Blocking Agents in Carotid Artery Surgery

Abstract: Intra-abdominal and lower extremity venous aneurysms have a higher risk of significant complications compared with aneurysms at other locations. In addition, proximal compression, such as occurs with May-Thurner syndrome, should be recognized as an important cause of venous aneurysms. Although no single approach can be advocated, it is reasonable to attempt endovascular exclusion of venous aneurysms.
