Abstract:Objective In this study, a high-impact trauma (HIT) device was used for inducing moderate traumatic brain injury (TBI) in Drosophila melanogaster. Mechanical injuries in flies caused by rapid acceleration and assertion produce symptoms characteristics of TBI in humans.
