After sketching briefly the formalism for neutrino-nucleus reactions, the following issues are addressed: 1) The consequences of number non-conservation in the Quasiparticle Random Phase Approximation (QRPA) and its inability to reproduce the exclusive weak observables within the triad { 12 B, 12 C, 12 N}, 2) The role played by the size of configuration spaces in the Projected QRPA (PQRPA), and the Relativistic QRPA (RQRPA), and 3) The limitations and difficulties of nuclear models in explaining the recently measured quasi-elastic unfolded cross section (ν µ , 12 C) at MiniBooNE within the energy range 0.4 ≤ E ν µ ≤ 1.2 GeV.
