“…The other literature value where the difference of the present σ 0 is more than 10% is of Steinnes [43]. The better agreements of the present measurement within less than 2% are with the values of DeCorte [31] and Zimmerman et al [44]. In other cases, the agreements are within 4%.…”

“…Present work 2007 58.98 ± 2.10 657 ± 36 Yücel and Karadag [17] 2005 59.2 ± 2.5 667 ± 46 Danon et al [18] 1998 64.4 ± 2.8 De Corte [31] 1989 58.1 ± 2.3 636 ± 32 Heft [41] 1978 61.4 ± 1.0 718 ± 40 Ryves and Zieba [26] 1974 61.2 ± 1.1 618 ± 33 Van Der Linden et al [42] 1974 626 ± 93 Steinnes [43] 1972 65 ± 2 710 ± 30 Zimmerman et al [44] 1967 60 ± 2 Sage and Sher [45] 1966 excellent agreement of these values has provided great confidence to our results. The important aspect revealed in this inter-comparison study was that when we set the alpha parameter to zero (i.e., to 1/E ideality condition), the I 0 value changed greatly (i.e., to 699 b with respect to cobalt and 637 b with respect to gold).…”

“…The diffuse scattering cross section aa= at +aie is written as the sum of the incoherent o-i and inelastic a~e which can be estimated [5] 9 ~ (105+2 [6]; 106___3 [7]), Tm aaYb" a~ (35.5+1.4 [8]; 37___5 [7]). …”

“…As seen in Table 6, the experimental and the evaluated values for the thermal neutron cross-section of the 165 Ho(n,c) 166g Ho reaction are varied from 58 [8] to 67 barn [23,27]. The present result of 59.7 ± 2.5 barn is in good agreement within 4.2% (1r) with the experimental data obtained by Rajput et al [3], Yucel et al [5], De Corte [6], Holden [8], Kafala et al [10], De Corte and Simonits [12], Gryntakis et al [13], Mughabghab [14], Simonits et al [15], Heft [16], Ryves and Zieba [20], Zimmerman et el., [26] and Seren et al, [31]. However, the present result differs from the evaluated results of ENDF/B-VII.0 [4], Mughabghab [7], JFF2.2 [11], and also some experimental data of Danon et al [9], Erdtmann [17], Steinnes [21], Walker [22], Scoville and Rogers [23], THAI-AEC-10 [25], Stephenson [27], Keisch and Faler [29], and Pomerance [30] by 5.5-12.2%.…”
