Abstract:Neutropenic enterocolitis or typhlitis is one of the rare but high mortality acute complications of neutropenia that develops in immunosuppressed patients due to chemotherapy. It is a segmental cecal and ascending colon inflammation that can progress to necrosis and perforation.
