Neutrophil extracellular traps contributing to atherosclerosis: From pathophysiology to clinical implications

Abstract: Neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) are network-like structures of chromatin filaments decorated by histones, granules, and cytoplasmic-derived proteins expelled by activated neutrophils under multiple pathogenic conditions.
