New application of the Killing vector field formalism: modified periodic potential and two-level profiles of the axionic dark matter distribution

Abstract: We consider the structure of halos of the axionic dark matter, which surround massive relativistic objects with static spherically symmetric gravitational field and monopole-type magneto-electric fields. We work with the model of pseudoscalar field with the extended periodic potential, which depends on additional arguments proportional to the moduli of the Killing vectors; in our approach they play the roles of model guiding functions. The covariant model of the axion field with this modified potential is equi… Show more

“…We assume that both: the pseudoscalars φ and Φ * are dimensionless, and Φ * describes a vacuum averaged value of the axion field. This idea was motivated and used, e.g., in [55][56][57][58][59]). Based on this idea we consider now the following unified invariant I (U) nonlinear in the pseudoscalar field:…”

“…The potential of the axion field inherits the discrete symmetry, which in our terms can be indicated as 2πφ Φ * → 2πφ Φ * + 2πn; therefore, we can use the modified periodic potential in the form (see, e.g., [55][56][57][58][59]):…”

“…In the works [32,33] these invariants were constructed using the covariant derivative of the velocity four-vector, associated with the dynamic aether flow. In the papers [57,58] we have used the moduli of the Killing vectors as auxiliary invariants, the arguments of the guiding function * . Now we develop this idea and assume that the guiding function * can depend on the spinor field via the following four invariants (two scalars and two pseudoscalars):…”
