Abstract:The synthesis of polyacetylene (PA) films, having interesting mechanical properties and improved air stability, was performed by means of catalytic systems with Ti(OBu), and aluminoxanes as cocatalysts (i. e. %Al-O-AlR,, %Al-S-AlR,, R2AI-N(n-Bu)-Al%). Scanning electron microscopic characterizations, density and specific surface area measurements are indicative of films more dense than the ones polymerized by means of the classic Shirakawa and Luttinger methods. Draw ratios up to 3,5 were observed.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
