New data about the distribution and migrations of pink salmon in the Sea of Japan

Abstract

Data are presented for the first time on the quantitative distribution of pink salmon yearlings in the autumn period in the northwestern Sea of Japan that characterize one of the stages of salmon migrations toward wintering grounds. Data are presented concerning pink salmon wintering in near-bottom water layers near southwestern Sakhalin.
