Abstract:The temperature and field dependence of the complex polar Kerr effect and the optical reflectivity ofCeSb single crystals are presented. The evolution of the magneto-optical effect to reach the new record value of 90 degree single Kerr rotation at 1.5 K and 5 T in the near infrared spectral range is discussed and qualitative arguments to account for this giant effect: are given.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
