New measurements of 92Mo(γ, n) and (γ, 3n) reactions using laser-driven bremsstrahlung γ-ray

Abstract: The flux-weighted average cross sections and isomeric ratios of 92Mo(γ, n)91m,gMo and 92Mo(γ, 3n)89Mo reactions were measured through activation methods. Laser-driven bremsstrahlung γ-ray were generated by the laser wakefield accelerated quasi-monoenergetic electrons using the 200 TW laser in the Compact Laser Plasma Accelerator laboratory, Peking University. The results showed good agreements with previous works using traditional γ-ray sources, and were compared with TALYS 1.9 calculations. We extended the ex… Show more

“…Finally, another method under development is based on accelerating the primary electrons using laser wakefield acceleration from high-power lasers, a technology that will be the second main pillar of the ELI-NP facility via the 100 TW, 1 PW, and 10 PW beam lines (Tanaka et al, 2020). Such a measurement on p-process nuclei, namely the 92 Mo(γ, n) 91m,g Mo isomeric ratios and the 92 Mo (γ, 3n) 89 Mo reaction was recently reported by Wu et al (2023).…”
