Abstract:Hyperon production in e + e − annihilation provides a clean laboratory for the production of baryons and strangeness in hadronization, and can provide insight into the structure of different hyperons by comparing their production rates. Using 52 pb −1 , 805 pb −1 , and 586 pb −1 of e + e − annihilation data taken at the ψ(2S ), ψ(3770), and ψ(4160) resonances, respectively, with the CLEO-c detector, we measure for the first time the inclusive decays of these charmonium states to the− hyperons, and discuss the … Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
