Summary
Compared with the AC‐type photovoltaic (PV) grid‐connection system, its DC counterpart has characteristics like simpler control mode, less power loss, and higher PV utilization. However, there are few researches that gave clearly the topology and control strategies of the DC‐type integration system of PV generation, especially systems with the multimodule boost full bridge isolation converter (BFBIC). In this paper, taking a pilot project as an example, the topology and control strategies of the DC‐type grid‐connection system are given. Models of the PV cell, the BFBIC, and the clamp double submodule (CDSM)‐based modular multilevel converter (MMC) are presented first. Then, the output voltage and power of PV are analyzed and compared. Suggestions on the application of the control strategy are given finally.
