New production method of convex microlens arrays for integrated fluorescence microfluidic detection systems

Abstract: A new method for producing microlens array with large sag heights is proposed for integrated fluorescence microfluidic detection systems. Three steps in this production technique are included for concave microlens array formations to be integrated into microfluidic systems. First, using the photoresist SU-8 to produce hexagonal microchannel array is required. Second, UV curable glue is injected into the hexagonal microchannel array. Third, the surplus glue is rotated by a spinner at high velocity and exposed t… Show more

“…In the process of edge contour extraction, the extracted edge contours must be able to accurately describe the geometric shape of the fragments. In two-dimensional images, contour edge extraction methods include Grid Partitioning (Yang F.T., 2020), Depth Image (Dong Q.Q., 2023), Gaussian Mapping Clustering (Su Y.L., 2019), and so on. For 3D point clouds, the density of the point cloud distribution around the sampling points can be used to determine whether they are edge points.…”

“…Free surface shaping to generate lenses is described for example in [7] and [9]. Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) is used for generation of moulding forms [1,3,10] or as material for lenses [1,4,11]. Adhesives and especially UVcuring adhesives are widely used for fabrication or replication of optical elements [5]- [7], [9]- [12].…”
