Abstract:Recent field work in Zimbabwe yielded new records of an alien species, Opuntia microdasys (Lehm.) Pfeiff. (Cactaceae) which is naturalized in central region of the country. This species is native to central, northern and southern America and is commonly used as an ornamental plant in Zimbabwe.
