Abstract

Nantucket pine tip moth, Rhyacionia frustrana Comstock (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae), is a commercially important pest of nurseries, ornamental pines, seed orchards, Christmas tree plantations, and regeneration pine plantations (Lashomb et al. 1978, Malinoski and Paine 1988, Can and Ozcankaya 2007. Nantucket pine tip moth is a pest of most North American pine species (Young 2006). Although usually considered a pest of the southern United States, the moth is found throughout much of the eastern half of the United States, southern Mexico, and Central America.
