“…Scatomyza Fallén, 1810 is one of the small genera within the family Scathophagidae, which until the present time has comprised not less than 10 species in the world, the majority of which are registered in Asia. Two species, S. mellipes (Coquillett, 1899) and S. calceata Ozerov, 2009(now S. sinensis Sun, 1996 were known from Nepal (Vockeroth, 1977;Ozerov, 2009). Three more species of the genus Scatomyza, two of which proved to be new to science, were discovered as a result of the determination of dung flies collected in Nepal in 2016-2017.…”
