New Test Data On The Strength Of Grouted Connections With Closely Spaced Weld Beads

Abstract: A series of laboratory tests were undertaken to investigate the effect of closely spaced weld beads on the axial static strength of grouted pile sleeve connec~ions. This paper describes the experimental techniques used and the results of the investigations are presented along with recommendations to designers for implementation of the results.Grouted connections are used extensively throughout the offshore industry in the piling details for fixed structures and in some repair techniques.These results provide s… Show more
